Hand Quilting Service

Hey everybody!!! I have decided to start a small hand quilting service for all of you quilting ladies who whip out tops before you can hand-quilt them! I am starting small so I will do any size that is between mini size and lap quilts. In addition, on lap sizes, I will only quilt straight lines, while with minis or wall hangings, I will quilt anything! Please note that I will not buy the backing and batting for you. You must include that while shipping you top. Also, if you include extra fabric in a contrasting or matching color, I will cut and bind your quilt for you.

I am also trying to sell custom quilts. If you know of anyone who might be interested in this service, please direct them to this post! If any of you are interested, I have a business card that I can have printed and sent to you for distribution. I just might have a giveaway if I get enough sales! Please make sure to post a comment if you are interested in any of the things mentioned here!

P.S. Tomorrow I will post my quilts... I hope!

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

First off, here is something that I have been working on. It's a letter quilt and it uses Tonya's technique of making letters. I actually took the idea from her blog, but I am improvising. The whole block is 5 1/2" big and each letter is about 3" square.

And I started the quilt along from John's blog, in which we are making wonky log cabin blocks:

My desk can get very messy when working:

And as promised, here is a picture of the quilt that I finished for my brother Brandon's birthday.

He really liked it!!!

And if you are interested, here is the link to John's Flickr group. I hope to see you there! BTW, I managed to finish the third row of quilting on my quilt and there are about nine rows!! Six more to go!

Dear Jane and Hand Quilting...

Yesterday I made a promise to myself that every 30 minutes I spend working on piecing or applique, I owe myself 15 minutes working on hand quilting. This could actually work for anything you don't enjoy doing... quilting or maybe even hand stitching bindings to the backs of quilts. Here are a couple pictures of my quilt in the hoop.

And I'm not going to show you any more of that quilt! lol! I am going to finish quilting before I do that!

Now I want to show you Dear Jane Block #2:

I know that the making of this Dear Jane quilt is going to be very time consuming but knowing that all of you are looking forward to the finishing of it will keep me going!

The last thing I want to show all of you is a special work in progress that I have been working on for quite a while. It is a hexagon charm quilt where every piece is different. If any of you would like to help me out by sending scraps through the mail that would be very nice.

Something else, if you will please tell me in the comments what kind of tutorials you would like to see on my blog, I will try my best to get it on here!

ONE last thing... if you head on over to http://twiddletails.blogspot.com/2009/08/little-organizer-giveaway.html you can have a chance to win a little organizer!
